" Favorite last Favorite with her 2009—a superb wine with velvety tannins—Marie-Laure Lurton offers a different style this year, characterized by pronounced tannins; it must be said that while the 2009 emphasized Merlot, the 2010 gives pride of place to Cabernet Sauvignon (79%). The result is a Haut-Médoc with a strong character, robust and still austere on the palate, yet not lacking in body or freshness, which remains true to the estate’s elegant style with its subtly fruity and oaky bouquet. Patience will be required (three to five years) to appreciate this wine at its best.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins)

About the wine:
This wine reveals a dense core of blackberry, blackcurrant paste, and fig jam, all underpinned by lively notes of oak, anise, and roasted apples. The elegant finish highlights the vintage’s distinct graphite character.

Wine rated (2013 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
This rich, refined, and fruity wine comes from a château run by the Lurton family. It is full-bodied, concentrated, and dense, bursting with blackberry aromas. Deliciously juicy, it possesses the tannins and acidity of a wine with aging potential.
