Château La Croix de Bourseau 2011 - Old Vines

Château La Croix de Bourseau 2011 - Vieilles vignes

Cité

Hachette

“A wine with good concentration derived from old vines, which is immediately apparent in a deep bouquet of ripe grapes underscored by subtle oak. The palate, in perfect harmony, is full-bodied, smooth, and powerful. Still austere on the finish, it will improve with age.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015)

About the wine:

Véronique Gaboriaud-Bernard has been managing this 10-hectare vineyard since 1976; it was acquired by her family in 1962 and has become one of the top wines in Lalande. The family’s other estate, Château Matras, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, was sold to Canon in 2011.
A wine with good concentration derived from old vines, which is immediately apparent in a deep bouquet of ripe grapes underscored by subtle oak. The palate, in perfect harmony, is full-bodied, smooth, and powerful. Still austere on the finish, it will improve with age.
