"A shimmering aromatic seduction that makes it a beautiful classic in the sector. Guaranteed pleasure at a great price!"

" Favorite this smooth and flavorful Bordeaux red wine from start to finish: the 2019 vintage from Domaine du Grand Ormeau in the Lalande-de-Pomerol AOC! Already very open, this blend from the Néac and Lalande terroirs offers a shimmering aromatic seduction, with very Pomerol-like accents of violet and dulce de leche. The body is affable and delicate, without any heaviness, but smooth and flavorful from start to finish." (Guide Hachette 2023)

Wine rating (2023 guide) 2 stars (Outstanding wine)

Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About wine:

Powerful, concentrated, velvety, and round, this beautiful classic from the region offers wonderful aromatic complexity with notes of red fruit, spices, and licorice, all supported by smooth, silky tannins. It would pair well with a fondue bourguignonne or confit beef cheek. 2023-2028

About the estate:

Coming from a long line of winegrowers, Jean-Paul Garde managed the family vineyards (now covering around 30 hectares) between 1974 and 2014, spread across three Libourne appellations: Lalande, Montagne, and Pomerol. His children have now taken over the reins of the HVE-certified estate.
