Château Les Vieilles Pierres

Château Les Vieilles Pierres has been a family-owned estate for two generations in Lussac-Saint-Emilion. It produces, among other wines, an AOC Lussac-Saint-Emilion wine from a 20-hectare vineyard situated on a terroir composed of cold clay. The vineyard at Château Les Vieilles Pierres is planted with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.

The AOC Lussac-Saint-Emilion, vinified entirely in tanks, opens with aromas of ripe fruit and smoky notes. Château Les Vieilles Pierres is a well-balanced wine in which fruits such as prunes and blackcurrants dominate. The Merlot, which makes up the majority of the blend, lends roundness and charm without masking the freshness and minerality contributed by the Cabernet Franc. This blend lends greater complexity to the AOC Lussac-Saint-Emilion wine produced by Château Les Vieilles Pierres.
