Château Les Vieilles Pierres

Château Les Vieilles Pierres has been a family-owned estate in Lussac-Saint-Emilion for two generations. It produces, among other wines, an AOC Lussac-Saint-Emilion wine from a 20-hectare vineyard situated on a terroir composed of cold clay. The Château Les Vieilles Pierres vineyard is planted with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.

The AOC Lussac-Saint-Emilion, vinified entirely in tanks, opens with aromas of ripe fruit and smoky notes. Château Les Vieilles Pierres is a well-balanced wine dominated by fruits such as prune and blackcurrant. The Merlot, which makes up the majority of the blend, lends roundness and charm without masking the freshness and minerality contributed by the Cabernet Franc. This blend thus makes the AOC Lussac-Saint-Emilion wine offered by Château Les Vieilles Pierres more complex.
