Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Christelle Sorge runs the family estate, located in the heart of the Margaux appellation in Soussans, alongside her sister Sylvie. Together, they are carrying on their father’s legacy in fine style. The estate’s 13 hectares are planted with an almost equal blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by just 1% Carménère and 1% Petit Verdot. These are elegant, fruit-forward wines with classic Margaux character, improving with each vintage.

Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2022 guide) 2 stars (Outstanding wine)
About the wine:
The wine’s youthfulness and intensity are reflected in its aromatic profile, which centers on fresh fruity and spicy notes. These aromas, complemented by noble, toasty oak, linger on the palate, which is full-bodied and powerful, with robust tannins that attest to this distinguished Margaux’s potential for long-term aging.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
Although this wine has a high alcohol content, it also possesses the elegance typical of Margaux. Its firm tannins and bold structure are softened by rich, ripe flavors of blackcurrant. It needs time to age and should not be drunk before 2025.

About the wine:
Aromas of ripe black cherries, blackberries, dark chocolate, and a hint of vanilla. Notes of gravel and mushrooms. Full-bodied with firm, chalky tannins. Creamy and round. Smooth. Nice spice on the finish. Try from 2024.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
Deyrem’s bouquet is remarkably refined. It offers pleasant, refreshing notes of raspberry and licorice root. On the palate, the wine is fruity. It has good body, silky tannins, and a structure that lends it a touch of elegance while supporting its aromatic expression. I find the freshness of red berries in the finish. A fine wine that can already be enjoyed in its youth. 2023–2036

Wine rated (2021 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
Fresh, juicy, ripe red fruits with hints of coffee beans, damp earth, and tobacco are readily apparent on the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, and the red fruits have an earthy quality. The tannins are supple, and there is ample freshness to give this wine its vitality. Allow it 3 to 6 years of bottle aging, and this wine will be even better. It is a sure bet from the Margaux appellation.
