Château Le Coteau is one of the last family-owned estates in Margaux. It spans 12 hectares on Garonne gravel soil. Since 1993, its owner, Eric Léglise, has been committed to cultivating his vineyards in a way that respects biodiversity. In addition, Château Le Coteau stands out for the many flowers planted among its rows of vines. These flowers provide insects with a rich ecosystem.
In addition, Eric Léglise implements agroecological methods such as using compost, shredding vine shoots, and late mowing. Thanks to all these efforts, Château Le Coteau is home to nearly 200 animal species living on its estate. Three wines are produced on the estate: Château Le Coteau, Château Laroque , and Les Abeilles Solitaires. Each has a distinct profile, allowing you to discover the diversity of the terroir and the estate’s expertise.
