People turned away from Bordeaux during that period, but as Parker’s influence has waned, there has been a return to wines that are fresher, fruitier, more refined, less oaky, and more elegant—with more moderate extraction and greater drinkability. I think this is the way forward for Bordeaux. Among its “ Favorites,” Château le Coteau—founded by Eric Leglise—is a Margaux full of finesse, a true terroir wine.
