Château Marquis de Terme

Château Marquis de Terme is owned by the Sénéclauze family. In January 2009, bridging the second and third generations, Ludovic David became the director and, with the owners’ support, embarked on a far-reaching strategy with a stronger international focus.

As a result, various projects were undertaken at Château Marquis de Terme: the renovation and creation of a new tasting room, renovations and technical upgrades to the winery, as well as new investments in international communications and press relations.

The Château Marquis de Terme vineyard, located in the communes of Margaux and Cantenac, spans 40 hectares. Of Garonne origin, the gravel soils are the defining characteristic of the great Margaux terroir. The gravel soils consist of gravel, pebbles, sand, and silt. In the vineyard, traditional soil cultivation methods are employed, along with hand-harvesting, and chemical weed control is avoided. A policy of respect for the environment and ecological balance is implemented, and the estate is managed using integrated pest management practices.
