Château Marquis de Terme
Château Marquis de Terme is owned by the Sénéclauze family. In January 2009, marking the transition from the second to the third generation, Ludovic David became the director and, with the owners’ support, launched a major initiative focused more on the international market.
As a result, various projects were undertaken at Château Marquis de Terme: the renovation and fitting out of a new tasting room, renovations and technical upgrades to the winery, as well as new investments in international communications and press relations.
The Château Marquis de Terme vineyard, located in the communes of Margaux and Cantenac, spans 40 hectares. Of Garonne origin, the gravel soils are characteristic of the great Margaux terroir. The gravelly soils consist of gravel, pebbles, sand, and silt. In the vineyard, soil cultivation is practiced, along with hand-harvesting, and no-till farming is employed. A policy of respect for the environment and ecological balance is implemented, and the estate is managed using integrated pest management.
