Rauzan-Gassies Castle
Château Rauzan-Gassies is classified as a 2nd Grand Cru Classé from 1855. This 28-hectare estate located in the Margaux appellation suffered for a long time from a lack of investment. But thanks to the Quié family, winegrowers in the Médoc since 1936, the estate has regained its splendor and reconnected with its magnificent terroir of deep gravel and sandy soil. Jean-Philippe and his sister Anne-Françoise work with passion and respect for tradition. They produce a Grand Cru typical of Margaux: complex, deep, and elegant. But they also produce a second wine called Gassies, which is supple and refined, offering excellent value for money.
