"Beauvillage 2019 presents an engaging bouquet of bright, fleshy fruit, complemented by cedar and black pepper. The palate is medium-bodied, with notes of sappy black fruit, cedar, and hints of graphite. As I mentioned during my barrel tasting, this wine is very harmonious and has a persistent finish. Highly recommended!" (Vinous 2021 - Neal Martin) A Cru Bourgeois among the TOP bargains in the Médoc!

Eye
Beautiful clear burgundy red color
Nose
Very attractive bouquet of black fruits, black cherries, blackcurrants, slightly creamy. Menthol and sweet spice notes appear when swirled, all underscored by very attractive oak bringing toasted and mocha notes.
Mouth
Very nice tannic structure that fills the mid-palate, giving it lots of character and a lovely acidity that brings freshness to counterbalance the power. Very nice volume and a lovely long finish.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 91/100
About wine:
A medium-bodied red with notes of redcurrant, toasted oak, and cedar. A hint of earthiness too. Medium-bodied, chewy tannins, and a slightly woody finish. Needs a little age to blossom. Best drunk after 2022.
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2020 guide) 91-92/100
About wine:
Owned by Valérie and Eric Bugada. Clay-limestone and sandy-gravel soils. Inviting bouquet with good intensity, revealing notes of black berries and spices. Fruity and slightly chalky on the palate. This Beauvillage has character and temperament thanks to its structure, which ensures freshness and supports the fruity expression. The tannins appear late and ensure power. They still need to integrate. A sapid wine with good potential. 2025-2037
Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2022 guide) 91/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About wine:
The nose is fruity and offers deliciousness as well as a certain purity of fruit. There are notes of bright blackcurrant, crushed blackberry and, more subtly, crushed blue berries combined with hints of fleshy redcurrants and delicate touches of licorice, graphite and a subtle hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers minerality, a juicy/fresh texture, deliciousness, a little creaminess, a little fat and smoothness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/creamy blackcurrant, pulpy/creamy blackberry and, more subtly, fresh violet, combined with hints of small red berries, hints of vanilla, a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut and a very discreet hint of wild flowers and cocoa (in the background). Good length.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 91-92/100
About wine:
Beauvillage had a magnificent 2018. The château has done it again with a full-bodied, indulgent 2019, led by a seductive Merlot and supported, discreetly for now, by a beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon. The oak is remarkably well integrated, and the whole is splendid. Congratulations. - Bernard Burtschy
