Château Gachon
Château Gachon is a family estate founded shortly after World War II by Jean-Baptiste Arpin, the grandfather of Gérard Arpin, who took over the family business. He decided to focus on quality production and equipped Château Gachon with state-of-the-art facilities: temperature-controlled vinification cellars, pneumatic presses, micro-bubbling, and more. His son Gaël joined him in 1999. Thanks to their complementary skills, they put their hearts and souls into the vineyard and the cellar. Always striving for excellence, they are constantly adapting to ensure that each vintage of this Montagne-Saint-Emilion wine is a success.
The Arpin family owns four châteaux in the Bordeaux region: Château Franc Maillet in Pomerol, Château Vieux Gachet in Lalande-de-Pomerol, Château La Fleur Chantecaille in Saint-Emilion, and Château Gachon in Montagne-Saint-Emilion. The latter estate covers 15 hectares of vines planted on siliceous-clay soil, perfectly sun-exposed. Château Gachon wine is blended from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties. It benefits from all the experience and resources of the Arpin vineyards to produce a high-quality Montagne-Saint-Emilion that ages beautifully.
