Gachon Castle
Château Gachon is a family-owned estate founded shortly after World War II by Jean-Baptiste Arpin, the grandfather of Gérard Arpin, who took over the family business. He decided to focus on production quality and equipped Château Gachon with state-of-the-art facilities: temperature-controlled winemaking cellars, a pneumatic press, and micro-fermentation tanks... Since 1999, his son Gaël has joined him. Thanks to their complementary skills, they devote themselves wholeheartedly to the vineyard and the winery. Always striving for excellence, they continually adapt to ensure that every vintage of this Montagne-Saint-Emilion wine is a success.

The Arpin family thus owns four châteaux in the Bordeaux region: Château Franc Maillet in Pomerol, Château Vieux Gachet in Lalande-de-Pomerol, Château La Fleur Chantecaille in Saint-Emilion, and Château Gachon in Montagne-Saint-Emilion. This last estate covers 15 hectares of vineyards planted on siliceous-clay soil, perfectly sun-drenched. Château Gachon wine is blended from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It benefits from all the experience and resources of the Arpin vineyards to produce a high-quality Montagne-Saint-Emilion that ages beautifully.
