Violette Castle
The origins of Château Violette date back to the early 20th century. Mr. Bégu, a retired police officer, acquired several hectares of hybrid vines at auction. His son Pierre Fernand took over in the 1950s and replanted the entire vineyard with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes over the following decade. Joëlle and Monique, his two daughters, took over Château Violette in 2002. The name Violette comes from Joëlle's childhood memories of picking violets among the rows of vines in the spring.

The vineyard is managed using traditional, sustainable methods, with shallow plowing and no anti-botrytis treatment.
Château Violette, located in Graves Garonnaises and also on clay-limestone soil, offers balanced, full-bodied red wines with fruity and spicy oak notes under the AOC Moulis en Médoc appellation.
