Château Violette

The origins of Château Violette date back to the very beginning of the 20th century. Mr. Bégu, a retired police officer, acquired a few hectares of hybrid grapevines at an auction. His son, Pierre Fernand, took over in the 1950s and replanted the entire vineyard with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes over the following decade. Joëlle and Monique, his two daughters, took over Château Violette in 2002. The name “Violette” stems from Joëlle’s childhood memories of picking violets among the rows of vines in the spring.
