Violette Castle
The origins of Château Violette date back to the very beginning of the 20th century. Mr. Bégu, a retired police officer, purchased several hectares of hybrid vines at an auction. His son, Pierre Fernand, took over in the 1950s and replanted the entire vineyard with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes over the following decade. Joëlle and Monique, his two daughters, took over Château Violette in 2002. The name Violette stems from Joëlle’s childhood memories of picking violets among the vine rows in the spring.

The vineyard is managed traditionally, using sustainable farming practices, with shallow plowing and no anti-botrytis treatments.
Located in the Graves Garonnaises region on clay-limestone soil,Château Violette produces AOC Moulis-en-Médoc reds that are balanced, full-bodied, fruit-forward, and feature spicy oak notes.
