Château Latour

Château Latour is located in the center of the Médoc, some fifty kilometers north of Bordeaux. Château Latour has been owned by François Pinault since 1993. He has initiated major renovations which today provide Château Latour with the tools it needs to pursue its quest for perfection. The Grand Vin of Château Latour is a Premier Grand Cru Classé de Pauillac according to the official Bordeaux wine classification of 1855.

Most of Château Lat our's vineyards are located on the gravelly hilltops of Pauillac overlooking the Gironde estuary. This combination gives Château Latour's terroir its uniqueness. The desire to modernize the estate also led the owner to opt for Biodynamic viticulture.

Château Latour is made and blended mainly from Cabernat Sauvignon, which occupies 80% of the vineyard, and Merlot. The remainder is Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Château Latour is aged in French oak barrels for almost two years before bottling. The elegance, concentration and bouquet of Château Latour Grand Cru wines will be fully expressed after 10 to 15 years. After this period, a Château Latour wine will prove to be one of the finest in the world.
