Château Latour

Château Latour is located in the center of the Médoc region, about 50 kilometers north of Bordeaux. Château Latour has been owned by François Pinault since 1993. He has undertaken major renovations that now provide Château Latour with the tools it needs in its quest for perfection. Château Latour's grand vin is a Pauillac Premier Grand Cru Classé according to the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

The Château Latour vineyard is largely located on the gravelly hilltops of Pauillac overlooking the Gironde estuary. This combination gives the Château Latour terroir its unique character. The desire to modernize the estate also led the owner to opt for biodynamic viticulture.

Château Latour wine is made and blended mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon, which occupies 80% of the vineyard area, and Merlot. The rest is made up of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Château Latour wine is aged in French oak barrels for nearly two years before bottling. Château Latour's grand cru offers elegance, concentration, and a bouquet that will fully express itself after 10 to 15 years of aging. After this time, a Château Latour wine will prove to be one of the best vintages in the world.
