Château d'Eck
A medieval-style château built in the 11th century, Château d'Eck takes its name from François d'Eck, who acquired it in 1816. Originally, the château was known as "Freytets" and later "Fruitets," reflecting the renown of its fruit production. Subsequently, King William VIII of England, Edward I, and then the Bishops of Bordeaux built the reputation of the estate’s wines.
In 1999, Frédéric Gonet, owner of Michel Gonet Champagnes among other estates, acquired the estate and undertook the renovation of the building. The Château d'Eck vineyard was replanted to restore the site’s winemaking character.
The Château d'Eck wine portfolio consists of a white Pessac-Léognan and a red Pessac-Léognan.
