Château Luchey-Halde
Château Luchey-Halde is located within the Bordeaux metropolitan area, in the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation. Château Luchey-Halde is the heir to Bordeaux’s ancient tradition of winemaking. At the end of the 18th century, chroniclers reported that Château Luchey-Halde was one of the finest wines of Mérignac and Napoleon I’s favorite AOC Pessac-Léognan and Graves wine. In 1919, the Château Luchey-Halde estate was purchased by the army, and the vines were uprooted to make way for a training ground.
In 1999, ENITA Bordeaux became the current owner and restored the estate to its former prestige as a wine-growing estate. ChâteauLuchey-Halde was reborn with the 2002 vintage and is now poised to be included in the future classification of the Grands Crus Classés of Pessac-Léognan.
