Domaine de Merlet

Domaine de Merlet is a 6.5-hectare estate belonging to the Tauzin family. Situated between two Grands Crus Classés of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, it currently comprises 6.5 hectares of vines.

Domaine de Merlet 's vineyards are planted on a terroir identical to that of neighboring Grands Crus (Haut-Bailly and La Louvière), namely filtering gravel deposited by the Garonne River. In order to respect the environment and improve quality, the use of herbicides has been banned in favor of total tillage.
