Domaine de Merlet

Domaine de Merlet is a 6.5-hectare estate owned by the Tauzin family. Located between two Grands Crus Classés of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, it now has 6.5 hectares of vines.

The Domaine de Merlet vineyard is planted on terroir identical to that of the neighboring grands crus (Haut-Bailly and La Louvière), namely filtering gravel deposited by the Garonne River. Out of concern for the environment and to improve quality, the use of herbicides has been banned in favor of comprehensive soil cultivation.
