Domaine de Merlet

Domaine de Merlet is a 6.5-hectare estate owned by the Tauzin family. Situated between two Grands Crus Classés of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, it currently comprises 6.5 hectares of vineyards.

The Domaine de Merlet vineyard is situated on a terroir identical to that of its neighboring Grand Crus (Haut-Bailly and La Louvière), namely filtering gravel deposited by the Garonne River. In an effort to protect the environment and improve quality, the use of herbicides has been banned in favor of full soil cultivation.
