Château La Pointe
Château La Pointe has always produced quality wines; however, wine professionals have long agreed that it was far from having reached its full potential. That is why, starting in 2008, when Eric Monneret took over management of the estate—which had been purchased by the Generali Group—every effort was made to give the château a new lease on life.

From that point on, major projects were undertaken to bring out the full richness of this vineyard: soil analysis and drainage work that significantly improved the quality of the grapes, rigorous plot-by-plot management of the vineyard to optimize soil diversity and reveal the finesse of the Right Bank grape varieties. The renovation of the vinification facility also made it possible to vinify the wine while respecting the unique characteristics of each of La Pointe’s plots. Finally, Eric Monneret sought the advice of a new consultant, Hubert De Boüard, co-owner of Château Angelus.

This revitalization strategy soon began to yield positive results, establishing Château La Pointe today as one of the most renowned estates in Pomerol.
