ready to drink

The deep, brilliant color has slight purple highlights. The nose offers a multitude of notes of black fruits, cherry, blackberry, and blueberry. The palate is succulent with polished, well-integrated tannins. The finish leaves an impression of a wine full of energy. This is a colorful second wine from a harmonious and smooth vintage.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Generali France, owner of the vineyard, can be satisfied with the investments made in the 22 hectares of La Pointe, located on sandy and gravelly soils. Ever inspired, the talented estate manager, Éric Monneret, has successfully established his wine. He knows how to manage his technical team perfectly and listens to the expert advice of consultant Hubert de Boüard. Soil studies and the implementation of rigorous parcel management have made the estate one of the benchmarks in the sector, gaining in aromatic purity and silkiness over the years.

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

This large vineyard (23 hectares) owes its name to its location at the tip formed by the roads to Bourg and Catusseau, on the outskirts of Libourne. Consistent in quality, it was taken over by the Generali company in 2007. Éric Monneret, originally from Jura and formerly of Sauternes, is responsible for its operation.

About the estate:

This long-established vineyard, located at the entrance to Pomerol, has made significant progress since its acquisition by the insurance company Generali, which has taken over the vineyard and built a new winery. Under the leadership of its director Éric Monneret, the wine is truly worthy of interest: it now possesses the aromatic charm, smoothness, warmth, and persistence that are characteristic of its best neighbors, as well as a particular finesse that, even in hot years, prevents it from becoming heavy. This is a property to watch closely!
