"If there is one style that stands out in the Pomerol landscape, it is Mazeyres. Simply sparkling! ~ La RVF"

"We love the wide and unrestrained palette offered by the nose. Floral notes, red fruits and pepper, plum jam, hints of licorice and gentian—this is a wine of great finesse, flavorful and elegant. The palate is suspended, displaying an airy texture, expressing fine spices and subtle earthy notes. We are literally between earth and sky. Mazeyres 2020 is flavorful, mouthwatering, and sappy, marked by very fine-grained tannins. It is a great success for the vintage." (Terre de Vins 2021) - Delivery in wooden cases is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

As at Fonroque (Saint-Émilion), director Alain Moueix, a talented viticultural engineer and oenologist from a prominent family of winegrowers and merchants in Libourne, brings his commitment, expertise, and know-how to the table. The essential contribution of biodynamics has placed this wine on an upward trajectory in terms of quality, earning it well-deserved recognition. The resulting wines are lively and elegant. The latest vintages are particularly charming.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

If there is one style that stands out in the Pomerol landscape today, it is Mazeyres. This 2020 is simply sparkling, ripe without excess, endowed with the freshness of a white wine, bringing a stunning brilliance to the whole and brilliantly counterbalancing the power of the vintage. The caressing touch is magnified by a smooth texture, emphasizing its harmony and pulpiness. Irresistible now, it will age serenely.

About the estate:

Located at the northern entrance to Libourne, this large estate is managed by Alain Moueix. He applies the same cultivation philosophy here as he does at Château Fonroque in Saint-Émilion. The vineyard was certified organic in 2015, then biodynamic in 2018. Enhanced by the elegance and balance inherent in the Mazeyres terroir, the wines have reached new heights in recent vintages. We are captivated by these harmonious Pomerols, which are both refined and natural, with breathtaking finesse of flavor. The time has come for the first star.
