Mazeyres Castle
Château Mazeyres is a Directoire-style manor house surrounded by 25.5 hectares of vineyards located in the heart of Libourne, on the western and southern terraces of the Pomerol appellation.
The estate’s grape varieties consist of 73.1% Merlot, 24.3% Cabernet Franc, and 2.6% Petit Verdot, and it boasts a variety of terroirs. The western part of the appellation consists of fine clay-gravel soils, while the south features clay-sand soils and the east, at the foot of the plateau, features gravelly-sandy clay soils.

True pioneers of organic farming—having obtained their certification in 2015—their vineyards have also been cultivated using biodynamic methods since 2012 and have been certified since 2018. Under the watchful eye of renowned consultant Alain Moueix, biodynamic farming comes into its own, producing wines crafted with the utmost respect for the environment and in harmony with nature.
