Château Bel Air Ouÿ
Château Bel Air Ouÿ was acquired in 1999 by Jean-Luc Thunevin, a wine merchant and owner already well known in the Bordeaux region. Château Bel Air Ouÿ is located in the town of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, near Bordeaux. The vineyards of Château Bel Air Ouÿare planted on magnificent clay-limestone soil adjacent to the famous Château Fleur Cardinale. The wine is crafted with the same meticulous care as that practiced at Château de Valandraud, also owned by Jean-Luc Thunevin, to produce a supple and silky grand cru.
The wine from Château Bel Air Ouÿ is made from a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Malbec. The estate’s 6.5 hectares of vineyards, with an average age of 30 years, bear the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation.
