Clos de l'Oratoire
In 1971, Count Stephan von Niepperg began acquiring properties in Saint-Emilion, including the Clos de l'Oratoire.

Located on the northeast hillside of Saint-Emilion, Clos de l'Oratoire spans 13 hectares of vineyards. Its molasse terroir, consisting of a sandy layer over a clay subsoil, is particularly well-suited to growing Merlot, which accounts for 80% of the vineyard’s grape varieties.

At Clos de l'Oratoire, vinification takes place exclusively in temperature-controlled wooden vats to fully develop the wine’s potential in terms of color and flavor.
