Domaine Bouyer - Clos de la Cure
Domaine Bouyer has been a family estate for seven generations and is located in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes near Saint-Emilion, in the Bordeaux region. It consists of two separate properties: Domaine Bouyer - Clos de la Cure and Château Milon, both in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. Managed using sustainable methods since 1997, the vineyards of Domaine Bouyer - Clos de la Cure and Château Milon are grassed to encourage competition with the vines and thus obtain better quality grapes.
The 6-hectare Domaine Bouyer - Clos de la Cure vineyard owes its name to the fact that part of the vineyard belonged to the parish of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes. It stretches across the Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse plateau and neighbors the prestigious Château de Valandraud. Château Milon, meanwhile, covers just over 6 hectares, and its vines are located at the foot of the hill, on sandy and clay soil. Controlled yields, manual harvesting, careful vinification and aging have enabled the Bouyer family to produce well-made wines that rank among the very best in the Saint-Emilion appellation.
