"A wine of great beauty - Yves Beck"
"This bouquet is very fresh, with fruity notes that are also well highlighted. I even detect hints of truffles and a touch of chalkiness. Fruity and juicy on the palate, where the wine is perfectly supported by its tannins and the tension of its acidic structure. A beautiful wine that deserves a little aging to allow it to blossom. " (Yves Beck 2020) - Delivery in wooden crates for orders of 12 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery method).

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
The "great walls," one of the symbols of the medieval town of Saint-Émilion, are the remains of a 12th-century Benedictine monastery. The small adjoining vineyard (2 hectares planted exclusively with Merlot) has belonged to the Reiffers family since 1643, as has La Côte de Baleau (11 hectares in a single block on the outskirts of the village). Sophie Fourcade (née Reiffers), who has been at the helm since 1998, has elevated these two classified growths to the status of sure values within the appellation. They were purchased in 2013 by Philippe Cuvelier, owner of Clos Fourtet.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Cité
About wine:
Half harvest due to mildew, but a very fine wine! Dark, effusive and nuanced fruitiness, with hints of candied blueberry. Rich flavor, velvety texture, good acidity, sexy...
About the estate:
A discreet but significant cru, Côte de Baleau is located on the plateau, between clay-limestone and clay-sand areas. With beautiful regularity, without seeking to reach peaks of intensity, it develops a distinctive, complete, expressive character fairly quickly. Along with Les Grandes Murailles, the estate was sold by the Reiffers family to the Cuvelier family (Clos Fourtet) in 2013. The latter has since produced a fine series of vintages, capitalizing on the momentum of a cru that was classified for the first time in 2012. This brand still offers very good value for money.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 92/100 (Exceptional wine)
About wine:
Elegant, with notes of creamy plum and cherry reduction carried by a velvety structure, echoing hints of anise, black tea, and incense. The finish is precise and finely grained, with a subtle minerality that lingers at the very end.
James Suckling
Wine rated (2021 guide) 92/100
About wine:
Red fruits, blackcurrant, and vanilla. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a fleshy texture. Mellow with a certain structure due to the wood. Good medium-length finish. Try after 2023.
