Rated estate (2014 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

“This magnificent estate is now the largest of the Saint-Emilion Grands Crus. Its ambitious owner, Bernard Magrez, is also a hard worker who knows how to surround himself with the right people. Production quickly returned to its former glory: generous and meticulously crafted, the wines assert themselves as modern and flamboyant. Alexis Combe took over as manager of the estate, having applied for Grand Cru Classé status in 2012 after bringing the estate into compliance by creating a dedicated winemaking facility for Magrez-Fombrauge.”

About the wine:

The Fombrauge 2025 is exceptional. Deep and supple, with a magnificent texture, this vintage has so much to offer. Aromas of black cherry and plum, rose petals, lavender, mocha, and a hint of blood orange lend the Fombrauge 2025 a multitude of nuances. Like all Magrez wines from 2025, the Fombrauge captivates with its purity and brilliance.
