Château Les Grandes Murailles

Château Les Grandes Murailles is owned by the Reiffers family, who have been cultivating vineyards in Saint-Emilion since 1643, with a deep respect for the terroir and the commitment to quality that have earned their AOC Saint-Emilion wines their reputation, near Bordeaux. The Reiffers family applies the same quality standards at Château Les Grandes Murailles as at Château Côte de Baleau and Clos Saint-Martin—also owned by the Reiffers family—which have elevated their wines to the highest echelons of the appellation.

The vineyards of Château Les Grandes Murailles cover two hectares of clay-limestone soil. The vines, with an average age of thirty years, consist of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, allowing for the production of a rich and powerful wine. Sophie Fourcade now manages the Château Les Grandes Murailles estate with the same goal: to combine respect for tradition with a spirit of innovation in order to produce great wines.
