“It stands out for its freshness and vibrancy!”
“The 2019 Tours de Laroque is a lovely second wine from this Saint-Émilion estate. Delicate, supple, and easy to drink, the 2019 is an excellent choice to enjoy now or over the next few years. Notes of bright red berries and crushed flowers linger on the medium-bodied finish. ” (Vinous 2022) - Made from the same terroir as Laroque, this second wine offers excellent value for money and immediate enjoyment!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
A Saint-Émilion classified growth, Laroque is a sprawling 61-hectare vineyard that produces a robust wine, built more on structure than finesse. The arrival of David Suire, who works alongside Nicolas Thienpont on the top Saint-Émilion estates, has breathed new life into this domaine. This is evident in vintages like 2016 and 2017, which show greater refinement. 2018 marks a significant leap in quality: this domaine is one of the standout discoveries of our spring 2019 tastings. Be sure to stock up, as this is one of the best values in the sector; at under 30 euros, it’s hard to find a better deal!

Rated estate (2020 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
A majestic estate overlooking eastern Saint-Émilion, the Beaumartin family’s vineyard produces a mineral-driven, elegant wine that is more closely aligned with the spirit of the historic terroirs surrounding the town than with those of its immediate neighbors. The vast vineyard on the edge of the plateau, almost entirely planted with Merlot, is meticulously studied and managed, since 2015 by the brilliant David Suire, who is also Nicolas Thienpont’s right-hand man. The most recent vintages have proven particularly successful, offering a style that is both full-bodied and refined, very elegant and dynamic, with 2016 standing out as the highlight. Earlier vintages, vinified by Bruno Sainson, hold some wonderful surprises (the magnificent 2000).

Rated: Recommended
About the wine:
The nose is marked by rich notes of dark chocolate, as well as blueberry, blackberry, plum, dried lavender, toast, and mahogany. It is medium-bodied to full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins. It needs time to soften. Best enjoyed in 2025.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
Les Tours de Laroque comes from the same terroir as Laroque. It is made from young vines and lots not intended for the grand vin. Already very inviting on the nose, with its chocolatey and spicy notes, the wine stands out for its freshness and vibrancy. It owes this incisive, energetic character to the clay-limestone terroir. 2023–2034

Wine rated (2022 guide) 89/100
About the wine:
The nose is marked by floral notes, cocoa, spices, and cherries. Medium-bodied, delicate, supple, and already easy to drink, this charming, fruity wine is ready to be enjoyed in the near future. Best enjoyed between 2022 and 2037.
