"It stands out for its freshness and tension!"
"The 2019 Tours de Laroque is a very nice second wine from this Saint-Émilion estate. Delicate, supple, and easy to drink, the 2019 is an excellent choice to drink now or over the next few years. Notes of bright red berries and crushed flowers linger on the medium-bodied finish. " (Vinous 2022) - From the same terroir as Laroque, its second wine offers very good value for money and immediate pleasure!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
A Saint-Émilion classified growth, Laroque is a vast 61-hectare vineyard that produces a robust wine, more structured than refined. The arrival of David Suire, who works with Nicolas Thienpont on the premier cru wines of Saint-Emilion, has given new impetus to this estate. This is evident in vintages such as 2016 and 2017, which show greater refinement. 2018 marks a significant improvement in quality: this estate was one of the revelations of our spring 2019 tastings. Be sure to reserve it quickly, as it is one of the best value wines in the sector; at less than $30, it seems difficult to do better!

Rated estate (2020 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
A majestic estate overlooking eastern Saint-Émilion, the Beaumartin family's vineyard produces a slender, chalky wine that is closer in spirit to the historic terroirs surrounding the town than to its immediate neighbors. The vast vineyard on the edge of the plateau, almost entirely devoted to Merlot, has been meticulously studied and managed since 2015 by the brilliant David Suire, who is also Nicolas Thienpont's right-hand man. The latest vintages have been particularly successful, with a style that is both full-bodied and refined, very elegant and dynamic, with 2016 as the highlight. Previous vintages, vinified by Bruno Sainson, hold some wonderful surprises (magnificent 2000).

About wine:
The nose is marked by numerous notes of dark chocolate, but also blueberry, blackberry, plum, dried lavender, toasted bread, and mahogany. It is medium-bodied to full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins. It needs time to soften. Try it in 2025.
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2021 guide) 91/100
About wine:
Les Tours de Laroque comes from the same terroir as Laroque. It is made from young vines and lots that are not intended for grand vin. Already very inviting from an olfactory point of view, with its chocolate and spicy nuances, the wine stands out for its freshness and tension. It owes this incisive, energetic character to the clay-limestone terroir. 2023 - 2034

Wine rated (2022 guide) 89/100
About wine:
The nose is marked by flowers, cocoa, spices, and cherries. Medium-bodied, delicate, supple, and already easy to drink, this fruity charmer is ready to be enjoyed in the short term. Drink between 2022 and 2037.
