Château Peyroutas

Château Peyroutas is a property located on sandy gravel soil in the Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellation. It is part of the Terra Burdigala group, founded by Stéphane Derenoncourt and François Thienpont, two wine and vineyard enthusiasts and prominent figures in the Bordeaux wine region, which brings together winegrowers who adhere to certain quality criteria: respect for nature, limited yields, and authenticity of terroir.

The Château Peyroutas vineyard covers 3 hectares, predominantly planted with Merlot, and faces south, offering optimal sunshine. Each vine benefits from all the work that promotes the expression of the terroir in the grapes: short pruning, leaf removal, thinning, etc. Meticulous sorting precedes precision vinification, in which the search for balance is essential.
