The vineyard of Sarenceau Castle is situated on a clay-limestone plateau in the northeastern part of the appellation. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the winemaking process follows the great Bordeaux tradition.
Château de Sarenceau is simply the name of a local area. Of note is this estate’s rare grape variety composition, consisting exclusively of Merlot. Château de Sarenceau wines are produced within the Saint-Emilion appellation.
