Château Tertre Rotebœuf

Ideally located on the southern coast of Saint-Émilion (renowned in the Bordeaux region as the highest expression of coastal wines), Château Tertre Rotebœuf is likely its most exotic terroir. This vineyard, of Gallo-Roman origin, benefits from a rare mesoclimate, as it consists solely of south-southeast-facing hillsides (slightly toward the rising sun). The vintages vary greatly (there is no second wine), but are characterized by a beautiful deep color and a complex nose of very ripe fruit. On the palate, the wines are full-bodied and display a rich, evolving bouquet. Château Tertre Rotebœuf is often described as “the Burgundy of Bordeaux.”
