"An elegant, complex bouquet with subtle fruity notes, hints of blackcurrant and blueberry, and a touch of spice. Racy and compact on the palate. The wine has body, balance, and freshness, thanks to its acidity, which also supports the flavor profile through to the finish. A wine with character, which deserves a little aging. (Yves Beck 2020)

About wine:
Elegant, fruity, and mineral nose; very well-crafted palate with great volume and maturity, rich and tight tannins, vigor on the finish, and character.
Decanter
Wine rated (2019 guide) 91/100
About wine:
A complex nose of chocolate, cherries, plums, and blackcurrants. Immediately succulent, it makes your cheeks puff out, the tannins are abundant and fill the mouth with a soft and juicy texture that is truly enjoyable. I really like this density, it is full without being too much, everything is in balance. A truly enjoyable wine, to be enjoyed with a good meal, which will age well, continuing to integrate and soften, but I like its fruity confidence at the moment. Hints of sweet milk chocolate, chalk and a herbaceous element too—everything you need in a good Bordeaux! Typicality and accessibility. A sure bet!

About wine:
Ideally located on the Saint-Estèphe plateau, the estate produces this rich and full-bodied cuvée. The still astringent tannins show its aging potential. The tannins are balanced with notes of blackcurrant fruit.

About wine:
Laffitte Carcasset is a magnificent wine and one of the Médoc wines to watch out for in 2018. (...) The overall balance of the wine is most impressive. Don't miss it.

About wine:
Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberries, walnut shells, dried leaves, and black spices. Medium-bodied with firm, tight tannins. Fresh and structured. Crushed stone appears on the finish.

Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2019 guide) 91/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About wine:
The nose is fresh, mineral, racy, and offers lovely freshness and power. There are notes of fresh blackberry, ripe/fresh wild strawberry, and a hint of licorice, combined with subtle touches of blackcurrant, blueberry, racy minerality, and very subtle hints of tonka bean. The palate is fresh, fruity, balanced and offers lovely definition, freshness, tension, precision and a fresh/tart structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackcurrant and, more subtly, juicy/fresh blackberry, combined with hints of fresh red fruit (cherry, raspberry), subtle hints of chocolate, toast, caramelization, and an imperceptible hint of tonka bean and cardamom.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 91/100
About wine:
A generous dose of fresh, sweet red currants, cedar, and tobacco leaf form the core of this sweet, full-bodied, fruity wine. It may not be the most complex wine, but it's hard to find a better Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine with character for the price.
