Château Morin
Château Morin is located in one of the highest parts of the commune of Saint-Estèphe, near Bordeaux, in the hamlet known as “Saint-Corbian.” Château Morin stands there, calm and peaceful, with its clean, 18th-century style. In 1858, Dr. Constant Alibert acquired Château Morin. In 1890, his son Paul, a well-known banker in Pauillac, took over the estate. In 1947, Madame Jean Sidaine, Paul’s daughter, inherited the family estate, which she passed on to her children, Maxime and Marguerite Sidaine. They have managed the estate since their mother’s death in 1972. In July 2005, the estate was acquired by Château de Pez.
The Château Morin estate, with 10.5 hectares of vineyards, is situated as a single contiguous plot on one of the highest hilltops in Saint-Estèphe. Its homogeneous terroir of clay-limestone gravel is magnificently exposed, receiving maximum sunlight. The proximity of the estuary provides the Château Morin vineyards with a microclimate that is highly conducive to producing great wines.
