Château Morin
Château Morin is located in one of the highest parts of the commune of Saint-Estèphe, near Bordeaux, in a place called "Saint-Corbian." Château Morin stands there, calm and peaceful, in its pristine 18th-century style. In 1858, Doctor Constant Alibert acquired Château Morin. In 1890, his son Paul, a well-known banker in Pauillac, took over the property. In 1947, Madame Jean Sidaine, Paul's daughter, inherited the family estate, which she passed on to her children, Maxime and Marguerite Sidaine. They have been running the property since their mother's death in 1972. In July 2005, the estate was bought by Château de Pez.
The Château Morin estate, with a planted area of 10.5 hectares, is located on a single plot on one of the highest hilltops in Saint-Estèphe. Its homogeneous clay-limestone gravel terroir is beautifully exposed with maximum sunshine. The proximity of the estuary provides the Château Morin vineyard with a microclimate that is highly conducive to producing great wines.
