Château Tronquoy-Lalande
Château Tronquoy-Lalande was built in the 18th century to plans by architect Victor Louis, who also designed the Grand Théâtre in Bordeaux and the Palais Royal in Paris. Prior to its acquisition by Jean and Anne-Marie Arlette Castéja in 1968, the château was successively occupied by the Germans, the Americans... and vacation camps! For forty years, Mme Castéja has been working to restore the estate and make the most of its exceptional gravelly soil. In 2006, it was Martin Bouygues' turn to succumb to the charm and traditional character of Château Tronquoy-Lalande.
Château Tronquoy-Lalande 's vineyards stretch over a deep gravel terroir with a small amount of clay, and include 30 hectares of vines, averaging 30 years in age.
