Château Moulin Riche

Château Moulin Riche is a Bordeaux wine estate owned by the Cuvelier family. The Cuvelier family, wine merchants in Lille since 1804, has presided over the destiny of the prestigio Poyferré since 1920— a Château Léoville Poyferré 2nd Growth in the Saint-Julien appellation, whose 80-hectare vineyard stretches through the heart of the Médoc. On this fabulous terroir of Garonne gravel planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, 20 hectares are dedicated to the château’s second wine, Château Moulin Riche.

Thanks to an effective restructuring and modernization program, Didier Cuvelier has made Château Moulin Riche one of the jewels of the Saint-Julien appellation. The winemaking methods at Château Moulin Riche are focused on a single goal: achieving optimal quality. The most significant factors in this process include low yields, meticulously sorted hand-harvested grapes, winemaking supervised by oenologist Michel Rolland, and barrel fermentation.
