Château Teynac
Château Teynac is situated on the most beautiful gravelly hills of Saint-Julien, on the Beychevelle terroir, nestled among the Grands Crus Classés that make up 90% of the appellation’s total area. The 1874 third edition of *Bordeaux et ses vins* states: “Château Teynac, ranked among the second and fourth growths in the official 1834 classification.”
In 1990, Château Teynac, along with Château Corconnac, became the property of the Pairault family. Traditional cultivation methods, sustainable pest control, hand-harvesting with sorting, careful and meticulous vinification, and aging in French oak barrels give Château Teynac wines rich in color and fine tannins, which have earned it numerous awards. At Teynac, it is respect for the raw material that gives the wines both finesse and power, as befits a Saint-Julien.
