Château Teynac
Château Teynac is located on the most beautiful gravelly hilltops of Saint-Julien, on the soils of Beychevelle, nestled among the Grands Crus Classés that occupy 90% of the appellation's surface area. In 1874, the third edition of Bordeaux et ses vins stated that " Château Teynac is ranked among the second and fourth growths in the official 1834 classification."
In 1990, Château Teynac became the property of the Pairault family, along with Château Corconnac. Traditional cultivation methods, sustainable pest control, manual harvesting with sorting, careful and meticulous vinification, and aging in French oak barrels give Château Teynac wines rich in color and fine tannins, which have earned them numerous awards. At Teynac, it is respect for the raw materials that gives the wines the finesse and power that is expected of a Saint Julien.
