Château d'Arche

Château d'Arche is located in the heart of a 40-hectare vineyard on the hills above the village of Sauternes, at the very top of the slopes. Château d'Arche’s geographical location allows it to benefit from a particularly favorable climate. The morning fog, dispelled by the sun, allows for the development of *Botrytis cinerea*, which is essential for the production of a great Sauternes.

Château d’Arche’s vineyards are planted on varied soils that give rise to AOC Sauternes wines with very specific flavor profiles: power on gravel, aromas on clay, and finesse on silt. The north-south orientation of the vineyards ensures maximum sun exposure for the grapes throughout the day. Château d’Arche’s plots are, in fact, situated on the crests of the ridges.
