Château d'Arche

Château d'Arche is situated at the heart of a 40-hectare vineyard on the hills above the village of Sauternes, at the summit of the slopes. Château d'Arche's geographical location allows it to benefit from a particularly favorable climate. The morning fog, dispelled by the sun, allows for the development of "Botrytis cinerea," essential for the production of a great Sauternes.

The vineyards of Château d'Arche are planted on varied soils that give rise to AOC Sauternes wines with very specific taste qualities: power on the gravel, aromas on the clay, and finesse on the loam. The north-south orientation of the vineyards ensures maximum sun exposure for the grapes throughout the day. The Château d'Arche plots are indeed situated on hilltops.
