Château d'Arche

Château d'Arche is located in the heart of a 40-hectare vineyard on the hills above the village of Sauternes, at the very top of the slopes. Château d'Arche’s geographical location allows it to benefit from a particularly favorable climate. The morning fog, dispelled by the sun, allows for the development of *Botrytis cinerea*, which is essential for producing a great Sauternes.

The vineyards of Château d’Arche are planted on varied soils that give rise to AOC Sauternes wines with very specific flavor profiles: power from the gravel, aromas from the clay, and finesse from the loam. The north-south orientation of the vineyards ensures maximum sun exposure for the grapes throughout the day. Château d’Arche’s plots are, in fact, situated on the crests of the ridges.
