Doisy-Védrines Castle
For centuries, the Knights of Védrines owned the estate to which they gave their name. Grand

Classified as a Grand Cru in 1855, it was acquired by the ancestors of the current owners in the mid-19th century.
Château Doisy-Védrines is situated on the clay-limestone ridge of Haut Barsac and comprises 35 hectares of vineyards.
The vineyard soils are cultivated using traditional methods. The grapes are harvested by hand in successive passes (typically 6 to 8). Fermentation and aging take place in barrels (French oak only). The combination of modern techniques and traditional methods gives the wines of Château Doisy-Védrines the great vitality and finesse expected of Sauternes Classified Growths. Doisy-Védrines produces 36,000 bottles. Well-balanced and youthful, these wines are a true delight as an aperitif. With an older vintage, they are best enjoyed at the end of a meal.
