Château Doisy Daëne
Château Doisy-Daëne, Second Cru Classé in 1855, located in Barsac in the Sauternes appellation, has been in the Dubourdieu family since 1924. For over eighty years, three generations of winemakers have worked from father to son at Château Doisy Daëne to produce great sweet wines: Georges (1924-1948), Pierre (1949-1999) and Denis since 2000.

Rebuilt for the most part in the 50s and 60s, Château Doisy-Daëne 's vineyards are over 40 years old. It currently covers 16.3 hectares, with Sémillon (87%), Sauvignon (12%) and Muscadelle (1%). Château Doisy Daëne's vineyard soil is maintained exclusively by traditional ploughing, and receives no herbicides. Organic fertilizers are based on plant composts. On this Barsac terroir, Château Doisy-Daëne produces both a great Sauternes AOC wine and a racy, highly original dry white Bordeaux, the Grand Vin Sec du Château Doisy-Daëne.
