Château de Fargues

Château de Fargues is a leading producer in the Sauternes appellation. Managed by the Lur-Saluces family, the estate spans 170 hectares, 15 of which are vineyards. The vines are rooted in sandy soil resting on a gravelly subsoil, among the highest-quality soils in the Sauternes AOC.

The Château de Fargues vineyard is planted with 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon, and is cultivated with respect for the environment and the vines: using the estate’s own manure, practicing soil maintenance, avoiding chemical weed control, and pruning the vines to optimize yields. All of these practices make Château de Fargues a must-try among Sauternes AOC wines.
