Château de Fargues

Château de Fargues is a leading producer in the Sauternes appellation. Managed by the Lur-Saluces family, the estate spans 170 hectares, 15 of which are vineyards. The vines are rooted in sandy soil resting on a gravelly subsoil, among the finest in the Sauternes AOC.

The Château de Fargues vineyard is planted with 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon, and is cultivated with respect for the environment and the vines: use of the estate’s own manure, soil maintenance, no chemical weed control, and vine pruning aimed at optimizing yields. All these practices make Château de Fargues a must-try in the Sauternes AOC.
