"Chardonnay lovers take note: this Beaunes Premier Cru embodies the very essence of Beaune—full-bodied, intense, and brilliant!"
"A truly impressive Beaune Premier Cru white with expressive and precise aromas of stone fruit, lemon zest, and fresh almonds, as well as a hint of leafy freshness. The generous body is paired with very lively acidity. The finish is long, silky, and delicately chalky. The oak is discreet and never too obvious, even at this very early stage. This cuvée comes from 10 hectares spread across five different Premier Cru sites." (James Suckling 2023)

Rated estate (2023 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
From Cazetiers to Bouzeron, this large Beaune-based wine merchant founded in 1731 owns more than 142 plots covering 130 hectares of vineyards, including 73 hectares of premier and grand cru vineyards. This first-rate wine-growing heritage enables Frédéric Weber, a talented winemaker who was previously in charge of Château de Poncié, to produce around 600,000 bottles out of the total three million units produced here each year, with most of the production coming from purchased grapes for the great reds and carefully selected musts for the whites other than those from the estate. Impressive success in both white and red wines in recent vintages.

Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100
About wine:
The Beaune du Château blanc 2022, with its golden color, surprises from the outset with aromas of lemon peel and grapefruit; over time, warmer notes of apricot and quince develop, accompanied by a few smoky notes. The texture is rich but still lively. The grapes come from 10 hectares of vines spread over five locations: Aigrots, Tuvilains, Les Teurons, Sur Les Grèves, and Les Sizies. They are pressed whole and barely decanted before being put into barrels to ferment on indigenous yeasts. Harvesting began on August 29 to preserve the freshness of this white wine. 2027-2055

Ripe lemon fruit with a lovely chalky touch. Rich and creamy taste after the Chablis Fèvre. Lots of fruit, medium aromatic persistence. 2025-2029
