Olivier and Patrick Leflaive had long harbored ambitions to expand their estate, so when the opportunity arose to reclaim the family legacy of Domaine Leflaive, it seemed like the natural next step in their wonderful journey. Having managed the estate alongside his uncle Vincent and then his cousin Anne-Claude from 1982 to 1994, it was important for Olivier Leflaive to share his vision for these prestigious appellations.

The vineyards of Domaine Olivier Leflaive Frères are situated on terroirs whose reputation is well-established: from Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Les Folatières, and Les Pucelles in Puligny-Montrachet to Blagny Sous le Dos d’Ane in Meursault—all great names synonymous with and evocative of memorable moments. As ancestral holdings of Domaine Leflaive, the vineyards have been cultivated according to biodynamic principles for nearly 20 years without interruption. This philosophy has been respected and applied ever since.

Olivier Leflaive’s philosophy is to produce great wines, simply. There’s no secret to it: it all starts in the vineyard with beautiful grapes. Olivier, Franck, and their team are fortunate to maintain friendly relationships with the best winegrowers on the Côte, “leading figures” who meticulously tend their vineyards. While the quality of the harvest is essential, winemaking and aging also play a crucial role in revealing the essence of each appellation. Franck Grux and Philippe Grillet ensure, every day, that the wines express themselves to the fullest, while respecting the terroir. As such, each cuvée benefits, in the spirit of the “Domaine,” from a personalized approach.
