Olivier Leflaive Frères

Olivier and Patrick Leflaive had long had ambitions to expand their property, so the opportunity to take over the family inheritance of Domaine Leflaive seemed like a natural progression in their wonderful adventure. Having managed the estate with his uncle Vincent and then his cousin Anne-Claude from 1982 to 1994, it was important for Olivier Leflaive to share his vision of these prestigious appellations.

The vineyards of the Olivier Leflaive Frères estate are located on terroirs whose reputation is well established: between Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Les Folatières, and Les Pucelles in Puligny-Montrachet, and Blagny Sous le Dos d'Ane in Meursault, all great names synonymous with and evocative of great moments. Ancestral possessions of the Leflaive estate, the vineyards have been cultivated according to biodynamic principles for almost 20 years without interruption. This philosophy has been respected and applied ever since.

Olivier Leflaive's philosophy is to produce great wines, quite simply. There is no secret to this: it all starts in the vineyard with beautiful grapes. Olivier, Franck, and their team are fortunate to have friendly relationships with the best winegrowers on the coast, "figures" who take meticulous care of their vines. While the quality of the harvest is essential, vinification and aging also play a role in revealing the essence of each appellation. Every day, Franck Grux and Philippe Grillet ensure that the wines express themselves to the fullest, respecting the terroir. As such, each cuvée benefits from an individualized approach, in keeping with the "Domaine" spirit.
