About wine:
Offering aromas of crisp green apple, pear, spring flowers, and wet stones, the 2018 Chablis Premier Cru Mont de Milieu is medium-bodied, delicately textured, and incisive, with lively acidity and a chalky finish. It is developing nicely.
About the estate:
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2021 guide) 94/100
Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About wine:
Dominant notes of chlorophyll and flowers in Mont de Milieu, whose power is perfectly contained, with a slightly bitter finish.
About the estate:
This family estate, established in Chablis since 1815, changed hands in 2014, passing into the fold of the Faiveley house, which thus expanded its holdings, already rich with 20 hectares of the finest Chablis terroirs, with four grands crus: Les Clos, Les Preuses, Vaudésir, and Les Blanchots; four premiers crus: Montée de Tonnerre, Mont-de-Milieu, Fourchaume and Vaillons, as well as Chablis and Petits Chablis. Olivier Bailly was appointed manager in 2014 and quickly refined the management of the vineyards. Since 2016, the return to high quality has been evident, and this estate is now one of the most reliable in Chablis.

Wine rated (2020 guide) 94/100
About wine:
The subtle nose of this wine reveals notes of lemon, hay, and chalk. These notes linger on the palate, where they intertwine in beautiful harmony. The emphasis is on generosity, marked by a concise, chalky mid-palate and citrus brightness, despite the hot conditions of this vintage. It is a stony, elegant wine with beautiful depth.
