Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

We have been following this estate for some time now and are delighted with Charly Nicolle's serious approach and steady progress. Working the terroirs of Fleys, including the two premier crus Les Fourneaux and the easternmost part of Mont de Milieu, he produces a small range of wines with great density on the palate, bringing out the minerality specific to each cru. This is a sure bet for the sector.

Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100

Rated estate (2023 guide) Recommended

About wine:

The palate is very warm and displays depth and concentration of fruit. An intriguing hint of white pepper and lively acidity on the finish. A very attractive and classy example of this lesser-known Premier Cru. Made from vines planted between 1965 and 1975. Charly Nicolle runs this exciting estate in Fleys and is a dynamic young Chablis producer to watch.

Wine noted (guide 2025) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)

About wine:

Old vines and slightly longer aging for this well-balanced cuvée. Freshness is a constant between the nose and palate, with a pleasant finish featuring citrus notes.

About the estate:

Charly Nicolle's great-grandparents were already growing grapes. Following in the footsteps of previous generations, the young winemaker embarked on his own adventure. Based in Fleys, east of Chablis, he created his own estate in 2011, carefully tending his 17 hectares of Chardonnay vines, and has established himself as a reliable producer in the Chablis region. He also runs the family estate of La Mandelière.
