Jacques Prieur Estate - Clos de Vougeot 2013

Domaine Jacques Prieur - Clos de Vougeot 2013

Bettane & Desseauve

"Jacques Prieur's Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2013 has a beautifully defined bouquet, with woody notes gracefully interwoven with raspberry and wild berries, and even a slight hint of lavender appearing after a few minutes. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins on the attack. It is balanced and lively towards the finish, with a lingering hint of spice. Good." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Rated estate (2018 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

Édouard Labruyère's enthusiasm and determination to position this estate among the ranks of the grands crus are remarkable. His efforts are evident in the vineyard, which has been farmed organically since 1997, in the cellar, where foudres and demi-muids have been used since 2012, and, most importantly, in the glass. With its exceptional range of grands crus from 22 hectares of vineyards, including 17 hectares in the Côte de Beaune and an exclusive selection of grands crus in the Côte de Nuits, this estate has all the attributes to join the elite of Burgundy estates.
