2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

Chardonnay (50%), Pinot Noir (35%), and Gamay make up this superb crémant. The flesh-colored pink hue is invaded by a steady rise of fine, lively bubbles. The nose is based on aromas of red fruits (redcurrant, raspberry) and white fruits of great delicacy. With its perfectly balanced dosage and impeccable effervescence, the palate is very fruity, fresh, lively and long, titillated by a beautiful salty finish. The number 69? A reference to the exploits of the men who walked on the moon and the year Jean-Charles Boisset was born." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)

Excellent surprise. Well worth the price of lesser champagnes and much better than many. Not too sweet, fine bubbles.
