Mâcon-Igé
The Mâcon-Igé PDO appellation borders the Mâcon-Azé appellation to the north, while to the south its boundaries coincide with those of the village of Verzé and the Mâcon-Verzé geographical designation. In the 1920s and 1930s, the region's main cooperative wineries were established in this valley.
Since the 2005 decree, the name Mâcon followed by Igé has designated white, red, and rosé wines produced within the area delimited by the village of Igé alone.
Area under production (average between 2016 and 2018): Whites: 45 ha Reds: 13 ha.
