On the outskirts of the village of Verzé, the Chardonnay draws its character from predominantly limestone soils. This results in intense mineral notes—flint and chalk—that highlight the character of the Croix-Jarrier terroir, which is cooler and more restrained in its expression than other hillsides in the Mâconnais region. A very good Mâcon-Verzé!
