Etroyes Castle
Since 1720, the Protheau family has owned Château D'Etroyes, located in the heart of Mercurey. Initially a mixed farming operation, the estate began focusing on viticulture in 1905, when François Protheau developed the wine trading and production business. From that date onwards, Château d'Etroyes has continued to grow and evolve in favor of wine production. In 1996, the new generation took over the property and decided to stop the wine merchant business to devote themselves solely to family production.

The vineyard covers more than 50 hectares between Mercurey and Rully, including 10 hectares of Premier Cru spread over five climats. Since 2002, Château d'Etroyes has been committed to a sustainable approach in line with its convictions of greater respect for the environment and traditions. The estate offers a very wide range of appellations from the Côte Chalonnaise, highlighting the diversity of the Château d'Etroyes' vineyards.
