Wine rated (2023 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2025 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About wine:
The best village in the Côte de Nuits, presented with a very attractive, complex nose, even with a hint of smoke that clearly indicates its origin, excellent balance, good length, recommended.
About the estate:
This family-owned estate, founded in 1797, is mainly linked to the Côte de Beaune, where it owns most of its vineyards, with a sumptuous location on the famous Corton hillside as its highlight. Louis-Fabrice, the eleventh generation of Latours, chairs the family board and has complete confidence in his excellent winemakers. The reds have undergone longer fermentation, giving them more body and substance, while the whites are less reduced and more harmoniously oaked than in the past, with a constant search for balance that sometimes leads them to be underestimated in their youth, but they age magnificently. 2017 is in line with the success of 2010 and 2015 for both colors, but we would place more trust in the cuvées from the estate's own vines than in certain purchases, especially the whites, which are too diluted.

About the estate:
A family-owned estate founded in 1797 and run by 10 successive generations of Latours. A key player in Burgundy's wine industry and the largest owner of grands crus in the Côte-d'Or (28 hectares of its 48-hectare vineyard). The grapes are vinified in Aloxe-Corton, the family's birthplace, and the estate has its own cooperage.

Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2023 guide) 94/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About wine:
The wine has a pale ruby color with slight garnet highlights. The nose is refined and complex, offering a rich variety of aromas. The initial nose reveals a floral bouquet combining fresh flowers (a touch of violet, cornflower, and elderflower) with dried wildflowers, as well as subtle notes of development (mushrooms, undergrowth, wilted flowers). This is followed by ripe and dried red and black fruits (dried raspberry, fresh wild strawberry, tart red cherry, fresh and dried, a touch of fresh blueberry and blackberry), as well as spicy and woody notes (licorice, white pepper, ground cumin, cloves, toasted), complemented by a herbaceous freshness (crushed mint, rosemary) and a subtle note of graphite in the background. On the palate, the attack is very juicy, rich and fruity. The wine expresses flavors of sweet wild strawberries, ripe raspberries, wild blackberries (in the background), blueberries and tart red cherries. On the mid-palate, there are elegant woody notes (a touch of vanilla, toast, and café au lait) and spicy notes (cumin, clove), as well as hints of fresh flowers (peony, cornflower). The tannins are fine and silky, but well-structured. Beautiful refreshing acidity, fairly persistent finish, with subtle tertiary notes that reflect the complexity on the nose. A balanced, complex and refined wine.
