Santa Cruz Mountains
Santa Cruz Mountains is one of California's first American Viticultural Areas (AVAs), recognized in 1981.

The Santa Cruz Mountains stretch across a strip of land about 60 miles long and consist of small vineyards on hillsides, the highest of which are located at an altitude of nearly 2,600 feet.
Approximately 60 properties share the appellation's 500 hectares of vineyards, mainly planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Most of the Santa Cruz Mountains vineyards use sustainable viticulture methods: grass cover between rows, erosion control, etc.

Santa Cruz Mountains wines reflect the mountainous terroir, known for their minerality, balanced acidity, complex aromas, and aging potential.
